What you can build with travel.tech

The concrete things a partner integration builds with travel.tech, and where to start.

travel.tech is BizAway's traveler-facing REST API for searching and booking
travel. With one consumer HMAC and a traveler bearer token, you build against
four verticals — flights, stays, cars, and trains — plus the booking, trip,
approval, and billing surfaces a travel-management integration needs around
them.

What you can build

  • Book for your travelers. Search, price, and create a booking in any
    vertical, then confirm it.
  • Handle price changes. Renew a held fare before it expires, and get the
traveler's explicit acceptance when the price moves.
  • Enforce policy and approvals. Route an out-of-policy booking to a
supervisor, track the decision, and submit an exception.
  • Change and cancel. Preview the refund before you cancel a booking.
  • Keep trips and itineraries in sync. Group bookings into a trip and
stream real-time status and disruption updates.
  • Handle corporate billing. Attach a billing address and invoice profile
so every booking carries the right fiscal documents.

Each of these is a recipe below, built on the same endpoints you reach
directly through the API reference.

Recipes

Book and manage bookings

Create a booking from a built fare, confirm it, list or filter a traveler's
bookings, and organise them into trips with real-time disruption updates.

→ Bookings and trips

Book before the traveler has an account

Let a traveler search and lock a fare, capture their details, and create an
account through a magic link — including accepting a renewed total if the
held fare's price changes before they finish.

→ Guest checkout

Route a booking for approval

Submit a policy-gated booking for supervisor review, track the decision, and
submit an exception when the traveler needs to proceed anyway.

→ Booking approvals

Manage corporate billing

Save a billing address and an invoice profile, then reference them from a
booking or a saved payment method.

→ Billing and invoicing
